Review & Giveaway : Night Owl Paper Goods...Sustainable, Eco-Friendly Wood & Letterpress Cards

Night Owl Paper Goods
is an Alabama based stationary company that specializes in handmade letter press cards and beautiful eco-friendly wood cards, they also clearly specialize in cute! After browsing their online selection thoroughly, I can honestly say that there isn't a single design that I dislike. The company seems to take great care in creating a high quality products and printing only the most charming of designs. I think I must have browsed the site at least 20 times in the past few weeks, I seriously cannot get enough of the cute!

Night Owl Paper Goods very kindly furnished me with some beauuuutiful cards. Take a lil' peak:

How mind blowingly cute are those? I mean, even though I think these pictures turned out alright, they simply do not do justice how lovely these cards are. I actually took these pictures over and over trying to capture the prettiness, but the pictures never looked half as good as the real thing!

The wood cards are sturdy, beautifully printed and have a lovely golden wood grain (there are very few things I love more than wood grain). The wood Night Owl uses is sustainably harvested so the company is very eco-friendly as well. Cute, wood grain and sustainable? Oh, how I love you Night Owl! The letterpress cards are equally stunning with their flawless printing, thick cotton card stock (such a lovely texture) and timelessly styled designs.

A couple of my other favorites from the site:

mr. water otter wood card, $5

lamb party hat gift card/place card, $2.50

foxy fungi print, $16

My back to school picks:

owl flowering branch tote, $28

2011 critter calendar, $24

howdy y'owl jotter, $8

Oh how I love, love, love these cards. I know you're probably in love with them too by now so Night Owl Paper Goods is sharing the love with you....

Review & Giveaway : Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage, Italian, Mexican Chipotle Sausages

I recently contacted Seattle based company Field Roast Grain Meat Co. and was super excited when they agreed to sponsor a review and giveaway on my lil' bloggy blog! I'd been hearing about Field Roast 'meats' for ages but had yet to try them. Field Roast generously provided me with coupons so that I could try each of their three sausage flavors: Smoked Apple Sage, Mexican Chipotle and Italian!

Apple Sage Sausage: Although all three varieties were super delicious, this one was my favorite. The apples gave the sausages a wonderful, delicate sweetness that paired nicely with the texture and flavor of the grain meat.

The flavor works so well with many dishes... in fact, I can't really think of any sausage based recipe where this wouldn't be a great fit. Each variety is so flavorful that you need only sparing amounts of sausage when using it as an ingredient. Also keep in mind that there's quite a bit of salt in each link (25% DV sodium per link for this variety) so a little does go a long way! I was able to use just 1/4th of a link (each package of sausages comes with 4 links) for a deeelish. flavor packed hot dog. I also left a lentil soup recipe intentionally more bland than the recipe called for and simply added some sausage crumbles- the resulting flavor was robust and delicious!

Mexican Chipotle: The Mexican Chipotle flavor was so much fun to experiment with! The taste is somewhat reminiscent of chorizo, but with a firm texture. The sausage also has a little more kick than chorizo (but not too much kick) combined with a wonderful chipotle and cumin flavor. The spiciness level and flavor is wonderful for dishes like breakfast burritos, pastas and soups. I sprinkled slices of this sausage over my spaghetti and the flavor really livened up the whole dish.

Italian Sausage: This sausage has a great flavor with a superb aroma. The sausage is flavored with fennel which adds a nice clean, "herby" flavor that isn't too strong (the scent is also amazing). The fennel, in addition to eggplant, garlic and red wine, give the Italian sausage a nice, classic taste. Like the other flavor options, this fares well in many dishes. One of my favorite ways to enjoy this variety is sliced thin in a sandwich filled with veggies... yum!

The texture and flavor of Field Roast sausages is very much like the 'real' thing. It has a nice chew to it, but its not at all tough. It both crumbles and slices nicely which was super impressive. As a grain based meat (not soy based), the aroma is clean with no unpleasant aftertaste. Definitely one of my new favorite meat analogues!

I'm totally hooked on Field Roast now. The flavor is wonderful and it's so versatile. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of this product's potential!

iNetVideo.com

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of iNetVideo. All opinions are 100% mine.

iNetVideo.com, founded in 1999, is an online DVD, HD DVD, blu-ray movies, Video Games and Music CD liquidator. Their motto is "Entertainment For Less!" and judging by the slashed prices you will most certainly find throughout their website, it is a motto they take seriously. The website is easy to navigate with an impressive inventory that ships worldwide. Unlike some other video and music retailers, they accept Paypal and money order (among the usual forms of payment- credit card, etc.) and offer tons of giveaway opportunities on their site.

iNetVideo offers visitors to their website chances to win movies and other prizes through daily giveaways, free movies for guest bloggers and a monthly blu-ray player drawing. Visit http://www.inetvideo.com for more info or visit iNetVideo's blog (found here: http://blog.inetvideo.com) which features tons of interesting entertainment articles and entertainment & movie news.

To be honest, I haven't really purchased any videos in awhile since I've received most of what I've wanted as a gift, but after browsing the selection on iNetVideo I was certainly impressed by their inventory. I spent quite a bit of time scanning their documentary section and found Hidden Hawaii for $5.99 (retail $19.99) and I-MAX : Deep Sea for $14.99 (retail $27.98). (Not so) fun fact about me: At one point I seriously entertained the idea of becoming an ichthyologist- so finding ocean life videos like these on the cheap is pretty nice!
