Uncle Sam Cereal (Toasted Whole Wheat Flakes and Flaxseed) is a unique cereal that combines just a few ingredients to produce a simple, customizable cereal that can be used in a variety of ways. Attune Foods recently shipped over a box of Uncle Sam Cereal to me to try for the very first time! From the first bite I LOVED this cereal. If I had to describe my ideal cereal, this comes pretty close. The flavor of the whole wheat and flaxseed is clean, simple, and uncluttered. One look at the product label and you'll see this wonderful sight:
40% DV of fiber per serving, less than 1 g of sugar and a good amount of Thiamin, Niacin and Riboflavin! It's also nice that this cereal also doesn't have a fiber-y consistency, just a nice crunch and wholesome flavor. The simplicity of this cereal's formulation means that it can be easily mixed with other cereals or dishes. I enjoyed mixing my Uncle Sam Cereal with some sweater cereals to reduce the sweetness. Apparently lots of people also bake with Uncle Sam Cereal which I will have to try!
