Hi everyone,
I just registered this blog with Feedburner so if you'd like you can now sign up for my blog posts via RSS or reader. If you have subscribed in the past, please do sign up again with the updated links on the main page of my blog. This will help me keep track of readers a little better and also better tailor the blog to you all!
I'm really looking forward to getting back to posting here on a more regular basis. I will also be changing the content of this blog somewhat in order to reflect more of my everyday life, more affordable items, everyday items, reviews, etc... just a wider variety of things in general. Hopefully this will make the blog a little more interesting.
Yay!

fifi lapin x lesportsac
Etsy favorite Fifi Lapin has designed a collection of bags for Lesportsac's "Artist In Residence" series. Prices range from $18 nylon lunch sacks to $165 luggage bags in three adorable prints: Fifi in the Sky, Dress Up and Sweethearts which are pictured above. The price may seem a little hefty, but Lesportsac bags are super durable and last a lifetime. They are also washable which is a HUGE plus!
My favorite piece from the collection is the Tag and Go satchel in the Sweetheart print (pictured below), love the how the grey and yellow strap perfectly complements the baby blue of the bag.

new Hello Kitty baby items
Oh my, how cuuuuuuute is this Hello Kitty bib? And if you think that's cute, check out this musical Hello Kitty pull toy...... AHHHHHHHH the little teddy bear and the duck! AHHHHHHH I think I might die from all the cuteness!
Now that my head is full of cute, I forgot exactly where I was going with this...oh yeah...the Sanrio website has a bunch of new Hello Kitty baby toys, accessories, etc. up now. I'm not sure if these are currently available in stores , but I'm guessing they either are or should soon be since there isn't any indication that these are web exclusives. The prices are fair (from $5.95 for a sippy cup to a $54 diaper bag), perhaps a little on the pricey side vs. comparableproducts, but definitely worth it if you're looking for a gift for a Hello Kitty fanatic mommy (if you're out there raise your hands) or something super cute for your own kiddo!

Arthur Contest
It's past 2 am here in California and I should definitely be asleep, but (1) I'm not tired and (2) I figured I'd make a quick post before attempting to fall asleep (which I will probably fail at). I think one of the reasons I can't sleep is because I just found out about the most amazing contest ever and needed to share with someone! Honestly, if I wasn't more than 2x past the upper age limit (only kids between 6 and 12 may enter) I would totally enter this contest myself. Oh, and in all my excitement it appears that I forgot to mention that the winner of this contest will get........ DUN DUN DUN.... an appearance on Arthur & meet and greet with Marc Brown (the creator of Arthur)! AHHHHHHH, how amazing is that?!
To enter all you need to do is fill out the entry form on the contest webpage & most importantly, send in a character idea for the show by March 31, 2009. There are additional rules on the contest page, so definitely check that out if you're interested. And if your child wins, don't forget to send me a copy of Marc's autograph! ;)
I'm reposting the following from the contest webpage:
You can create a new friend for Arthur!
If you are between the ages of 6-12, you're invited to send in your idea for an exciting new character—one who can show the gang in Elwood City that children come in all shapes, sizes, and abilities.
If your entry is chosen, YOU (and your character) will appear in a segment of an ARTHUR show! Plus, you will get to meet the creator of ARTHUR, Marc Brown.
KIDS AND FAMILIES: To send us the character you create, you must download, print out, and mail in the Entry Form.
EDUCATORS: If you are a teacher, librarian, afterschool leader, or other educator, find out how you can use the Arthur/All Kids Can Character Search with your group. Download and print out the Dear Educator letter for tips and suggestions.
Note: You'll need Adobe Reader to access these PDF files.
For complete official rules, click here.
Be sure your entry is postmarked by March 31, 2009!
