Jules Smith is a vintage inspired jewelry line which combines fresh, youthful designs with an understated elegance to create a unique, appealing aesthetic.
From the Jules Smith website:
"Gina Nigrelli, designer behind Jules Smith, a vintage-inspired jewelry collection, is at the forefront of modernizing accessory trends from the 1970’s and 80’s. Her pieces are influenced by the strength and style of the iconic women of those trend-setting decades. Nigrelli’s designs span timeless silver, rose gold and sterling silver bangles, edgy knuckle rings encrusted with crystals, jelly charm bracelets, bold chain link necklaces and bracelets, opulent hoop and chandelier earrings, leather cuffs and vibrant neon-hued bracelets, amongst others. Top-selling styles include the Best Friend Wing Necklace, which is a modern interpretation of the beloved 1980’s 'BFF Necklace,' and her jelly bracelets, a nod to Madonna’s iconic 'Like a Virgin' look. Jules Smith marries the reminiscent with the contemporary by continuing to evolve her line with timely details and eclectic materials.
'My jewelry is whimsical, fun and effortless, inspired by powerful women, who exuded their confidence and self-assuredness through bold fashion and accessory statements,' says Nigrelli.
Nigrelli’s designs are often featured on leading trend-setting women, including Diane Kruger, Blake Lively, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mary-Kate Olsen, Taylor Swift, Leighton Meester, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Momsen, Nicky Hilton, Eva Longoria, Camila Alves, AnnaLynne McCord, Kayla Ewell, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Melanie Fiona, among others."
Jules Smith recently gifted me with a beautiful
Seastar Anchor Pendant Necklace in silver ($85) which I've been having a great time pairing with different outfits. I love the delicate long chain, the slim and streamlined pendant and the light weight of the piece. It wears so comfortably and looks so subtle and elegant that it is a great accompaniment to most outfits. The silver is also amazingly gorgeous and gives off a multi-color glimmer in the sunlight.
My favorite summer to fall transitional style is combining nautical inspired pieces with more traditional fall pieces (coats, scarves, boots, neutral colors) and the
Seastar Anchor Pendant is
perfect for accessorizing this look. The chain length (32") is awesome for layering, for peeking out from the bottom of a fall scarf or falling into the folds of a warm, knit cardigan.
Here's how I styled this piece today:
